Hotel

The Hotel La Demeure is run by the Cauet family, and family members are present on site every day. They accord great importance to providing a personal service and can advise you on all the best places in the immediate area round the hotel.

Local establishments include Pâtisserie Carl Marletti, the Brûlerie des Gobelins coffee-roasting house, Marty’s, an Art Deco brasserie, Le Petit Marguery which specialises in game, and right next door, a typical Parisian bistro, Au Bon Coin. We are also near the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital and Place d’Italie.

Reception

Our reception area is open-plan with lots of light and a remarkable floor, colourful modern armchairs, a large functional table and access to an iMac computer. Our multilingual personnel are available here 24/7 and will be delighted to help with reserving shows, taxis or restaurants or any other queries you may have. We can also offer secure private parking. Check in from 3 pm, check out by 10 am.

Morning and Evening Salons

At La Demeure we have two spacious salons. Flavie+Paul’s innovative idea was to make an open-plan reception area into a lounge for the morning, with a large functional table and comfortable, colourful armchairs arranged nearby. A Mac computer and an iPad are available for guests to use.

There is a completely different feel in the evening lounge. Here you will find upholstered sofas in white leather, huge mirrors by Philippe Starck leaning against the wall, floor-to-ceiling transparent drapes in which a fire appears to crackle in a fireplace, and an atmosphere combining glamour and comfort.

Breakfast

We serve a buffet breakfast from 7 am to 10 am in the enchanted setting of our breakfast room. Here, De Gournay hand-painted wallpaper takes you into a lush tropical forest, complemented by the adjacent small patio full of plants.

You can savour our range of organic fruit juices and salads, pastries, cakes and breads, cheeses, cold meats and smoked salmon, cereal and yoghurt. There is also a jam bar, with conserves made from little-known fruits. Hot drinks and a selection of teas are also available. Price: 16 euros/person.

A family trip

We take great care of the well-being of the families staying at our hotel; in fact, our hotel is ideal for family trips.

Our family rooms as well as our suites can accommodate up to 4 people.

Breakfast is included every morning upon booking a family room or a themed suite.

An Up-Market Kit for Travellers in Paris

At La Demeure we offer guests in our suites the loan of certain up-market accessories and equipment during their stay, a facility unique to this hotel in the City of Light. These include shopping bags by up-market designers, iPads, Polaroids and a card entitling you to reductions at the Galeries Lafayette department store.

The Designers: Flavie+Paul

For our interior we engaged two young designers, Flavie Papin and Paul Jouan, who founded their agency, Flavie+Paul, in 2010 after qualifying from the Ecole Nationale de Création Industrielle, France’s top design school. This was their first major interior design brief. They pulled off a highly creative approach with a total re-interpretation of Parisian chic. Here is how they saw their mission:

The Cauet family’s commitment to their hotel was a strong influence on us. The idea of a place like a home, cosy and welcoming while taking pride in its Haussmannian character and French-style chic, came naturally. And by looking at how clients use and behave in their hotel rooms, we also wanted to inject a practical and functional aspect to the arrangement and decor, the idea being that everyone could feel at home here.
